    I See Rude People

  • This book is all about those little things that become BIG things in our everyday lives… manners! What may seem petty to one person can be insurmountable to another and will affect both business and personal relationships.

People often ask me, “Who makes up the rules that we all seem to be obliged to observe?” Oh, the looks I receive when I tell them, “You do!” Of course, my explanation continues by noting that everyone in society plays a part in what we subscribe to. What we embrace continues. What we stop doing or no longer observe eventually becomes non-existent. Uh-oh!

As you read my tips and giggle at my use of humor, you might think to yourself, “Isn’t that a bit old school?” You might be right, and probably are, but if certain behaviors remain courteous and serve us well, then why toss them aside?

So, another book on etiquette and manners? Yes, but my approach is quick and easy, with simple tips to move manners forward in an environment that desperately needs improvement. And I can promise you, as you read through my points and observations, people will come to mind because we have all said to ourselves, “I see rude people.”

There is a lot of finger-pointing, and the younger generations seem to receive the brunt of negative comments, such as “they are so irreverent,” “they don’t show respect,” “they are never on time,” “they don’t have a good work ethic,” and many more. Well, who brought them up? What examples do they have to follow?

This book is full of little reminders that we can all do better to build and reinforce a more polite, considerate, respectful, and kind society. As you read my tips, you will have some 'aha' moments, I promise.
